At the 2010 LLD/LEC . . . . . .

The 2010 Tetonwana Lodge LLD/LEC was attended by 19 Arrowmen.  The morning consisted of leadership training sessions, which included break-out sessions where participants evaluated Lodge performance during the past year, where groups came up with lists of what the Lodge does well, and what areas need more work.

The final training session, "Steps in Sucessful Recruiting", covered the steps necessary in identifying the best prospects to fill leadership and committee positions, and the most effective techniques to use.

After a lunch break, the Executive Committee meeting was called to order.  Reports were presented by the various lodge officers and chapter representatives.  Issues that were discussed were: Spring Conclave/Ordeal weekend promotions; unit O.A. elections; Lodge T-shirts; the O.A. Unit Representative program; and the lodge campership patch program.

Other business included approving the Lodge schedule for the next year; fine-tuning the schedules for the Spring and Fall Conclave/Ordeal weekends; reviewing and approving the lodge budget for the upcoming year; and working on the 2010 Quality Lodge Petition, and setting lodge goals for 2010.

At this year's LLD/LEC, the lodge committed itself to the following objectives in pursuit of qualifying as a Quality Lodge in 2010:

The lodge calendar will schedule its events and meetings to be considerate of members' needs to actively participate in unit, district, and council events.

8. The lodge leadership will actively participate in the development and implementation of the council’s plan for the promotion of the council camping, high adventure, and other outdoor programs. Lodge Leadership Development (LLD)
Each year, the leaders of Tetonwana Lodge gather for a Lodge Leadership Development event. The purpose of the event is to build the team of lodge leaders who will guide the Lodge for the coming year. This event consists of a number of training sessions that will help us all focus our attentions on issues our lodge needs to again attain the National Quality Lodge distinction. As a leader, your attendance is vital to your success in the coming year.

This is our yearly training for all Chapter Officers and Advisers. Here you will learn how the Lodge operates and how your Chapter should operate. If you are a Chapter Officer or Adviser - or if you want to be one - this is the place for you.
