American Red Cross - Wilderness First Aid and CPR Training

New regulations at Philmont Scout Ranch requires that at least one person, preferably two,  be currently certified in American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid training and CPR training.  As a result of this new requirement, we have teamed up with the Sioux Empire Red Cross to offer this traininig.  If your Troop or Crew plans to attend Philmont in the next couiple years, you should attend this training opportunity.

CPR

When:   May 30th starting at 5:30 PM

Cost:  $25

Wilderness First Aid

When:   May 31 and June 1 starting at 8:00 AM Saturday to noon on Sunday.

Cost:   $55

Where:   Newton Hills Scout Camp

Registration:  By May 9.  Limited to 12 individuals.

Food:   Food will NOT be provide you will need to bring your own food. 

Things that you will need to bring:

• Water Bottle
• Tarp
• Cord
• Foam matt
• Paper and Pencil or pen
• Tent
• Clothing
• Raingear
• And anything you will need for the weekend
