Webelos Pin Workshop Opportunities

 

Looking for a fun, simple way for your Webelos to earn their Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist activity badge?  Have an experienced educator join your den at the location of your choice.

WHO: Your Webelos Scouts

WHAT: An opportunity for Webelos to complete all requirements of the Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist badge.  Scientist and Geologist include the academic belt loop.

WHEN:You pick the day and time that’s convenient for you and your den. After school, weekends,or days when school is not in session are all possibilities.  Two hours with the scouts is required.  45 minutes prior to the workshop is required for set up.

WHERE:  You provide the space.  The educator will come to the location of your choice.  All materials will be provided. 

WHY:  It's a great, simple way for your scouts to earn a badge.  Allrequirements for the badge of your choice will be met at the end of the session.

COST: $10.00 per scout.  Must be a minimum of 6 scouts in attendance.  (.50/mile will be charged for distances 25 or more miles outside of Sioux Falls.)

**One chaperone is required to attend.  One adult per 10 scouts is recommended.

**Final numbers and payment are due one week before the workshop.

About the educator, Paige Andersen:

Paige has an Elementary Education degree from The University of Iowa.  She has 5 years of experience teaching in the informal science setting.  She has developed and taught Boy and Girl Scout badge workshops at science centers in Sioux Falls and Cedar Rapids, IA.
