Operation Popcorn Results

Trails End Popcorn Company is proud of the generous support of the "Support Our Troops Operation Popcorn" program that was launched in conjunction with this past falls popcorn sale.  The idea came from Scout volunteers who wanted a way to support our military troops and raise money for their local scouting needs.  Trails End liked the concept and put the plan into action.  Here are some of the results from the program nationwide.  

• 204 Boy Scout Councils participated.
• 196,000 Military Orders (on average 960 orders per council).
• $4,900,000 in sales.
• $3,430,000 returned to Scouting.
• 107 tons of product shipped to Sailors and Marines throughout the entire Pacific Fleet. 
• 18,000 U.S.O. Care Packages.
• 11,000 Holiday Boxes for Troops deployed in Southwest Asia.
• Army bases in Afghanistan have received 21 pallets of Microwave, Caramel Corn, and Chocolate Caramel Crunch.
• Over 6,000 cases have been shipped to US Troops in Iraq.
• More than 1,700 cases to US Troops in Kuwait.
• More than 2,500 cases to US Air Force bases in combat areas throughout the Mideast.
• Over 1,300 cases shipped to 7 Marine bases in combat areas in Iraq.
