Training Extravaganza

When: May 10th, 2008

Where: Center for Scouting (800 N. West Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104)

What: Cub Basic, Scoutmaster Specifics, BALOO, Cub Shooting Sports

Cub Basic - This will be the new 90 min. course required for all Cub Scout Leaders.  If you have changed positions recently, you need to take this course for your new position.  For example if you were the Bear Den Leader and now you are a Webelos Leader.  Start time is 9:00 AM.

Scoutmaster Specifics - This in an 8 hour course that is required for all Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmaster.  You should take this course before taking Introduction to Outdoor Skills.  Start time is 9:00 AM, end at 5:00 PM. 

BALOO - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation.  This course take approximately 8 hours, and includes an outdoor cooking section for lunch.  This course is required in order to take Cub Scouts camping.  Start time is 9:00 AM, end at 5:00 PM.

Cub Shooting Sports - Training on how to run a shooting range for Cub Scouts.  Required for Day Camp range officers.  Starts at 9:00 AM, end at 10:30 AM.

Cost: Scoutmaster Specifics and BALOO are $5.00 to cover lunch, Cub Basic and   Shooting Sports are free.
