Sioux Council Venturing                                            

Welcome to the new home for the Ventures of the Sioux Council, Boy Scouts of America!  We hope our new location will be a key source for you to stay in touch with what is happening around the Sioux Council.

Venturing Crews from around the council gathered on August 29 09 at CLT to discuss upcoming events and to elect it’s new officers.

Kathy Retzlaff was approved to be the council adult advisor, Dave Engeldinger and Anthony Stayner were both approved to be assistant adult advisors.

October  10^th & 11^th,  over 20 youth and adults attended the Corn Maze campout at Newton Hills. The group joined forces and cooked supper over the campfire and in dutch ovens. They then drove to the Heartland County Corn Maze outside of Harrisburg and had a good time navigating their way through the maze with flashlights.

The next campout will be Jan 15-17^th at Lewis & Clark Scout camp. Outdoor and indoor activities are in the process. They will also be discussing the details of their spring campout. If interested in Venturing please visit the council webpage and check us out.
