The Race to Cub Scouting is still on and going strong, is your Pack in on the race?
Do you have your Join Scout Night date for your Pack set?
Have you secured your School Night location?
If you have answered YES to both of these questions, they your Pack is well on its way to winning this year's race.
So what is the prize for winning this year's race? Your Pack can Earn a Free Pinewood Derby Car!
How does your Pack win (earn) the Pinewood Derby Cars? All you have to do is meet the following Qualifications:
- Attend the District's Membership Training on Thursday, August 14th.
- Have an increase in total youth membership by the end of October 2008 vs. January 2008.
- Conduct a first and second opportunity to join event.
- You Pack is actively involved in recruitment plan development and implementation (School Talks, Recess Rallies, etc.)
- Turn in a Pack Membership Inventory Roster (youth involved and not involved) by October 31, 2008.
That's it. Do these 5 things and your pack will be in the Winners' Circle for the 2008 race season.
Things we need to your Pack to do right away (by August 14th) so that we can make sure you are successful:
- Set your First opportunity to join Scouting recruitment event. Date, Time, Location and Contact.
- Plan what your Pack will do for Program at this event.
- Tell your local District Executive of the plans in #1 and #2. So fliers can get made.
- Work with your local District Executive to set up "In School Talks."
