Fishing

Those taking part in the fishing tournament will also need to bring their own fishing equipment and bait.  Awards are being planned for the first fish caught; the largest fish; and the most fish. Troop 8 of Watertown has offered to help with the fishing tournament.

Stilt Races

We plan to have six pairs of stilts to use, but if you'd like to make your own Click here to see how to make your own.

Bicycling Events

A Cub Scout-style Rolling Thunder bicycle "poker run" and "bicycle rodeo" along the bike path along the Sioux River in Watertown.  Troop 209 of Watertown is helping with the bicycling events.

For the bicycle run, the plan is to clip cards to the spokes, making the bicycles sound more like roaring motorcycles.  For the bike run you might want to wear sunglasses and a bandana to make you look like a real biker.

Cub Scouts, leaders, and parents will need to bring their bikes, helmets, and other safety equipment. If you don't have a bike and helmet, make plans to borrow one from a friend or neighbor.

Cub packs should start planning now to participate in this Cub Scout Fun Day, which should be a fun July Cubbing activity for everyone in your Pack.  Start getting the word out now so everyone can get his event on their calendars.

If you can help with any of the events or have any questions, please contact Dennis Helland at [Click for member's page]
