North Star District Fall Kickoff

Ice Cream Social . . . Door Prizes . . . Information for the upcoming Scouting year.
When: Thursday, August 14th, 2008, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Where: St. John’s Lutheran Church, 820 Main Street, Webster
Who: All Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venture Leaders in the North Star District
Why: The North Star District Fall Kickoff is your unit’s opportunity to find out what is happening for the upcoming program year including, membership, district activities, training, the Popcorn Sales, etc. Each of the district’s operating committees will have table with information pertaining to the role and activities of their committees. Also at the kickoff there will be program materials such as Cub Scout Program Helps and the Sioux Council Program Calendar.
Those visiting all the operating committee tables and participating in the Popcorn and Membership workshops will be eligible for the drawing of door prizes.
Want to earn an additional 2% bonus commission on your unit’s popcorn sale? Bring at least two leaders or committee members to attend the District‘s Popcorn and Membership Training Seminars. Better yet, put together a carpool and bring all your unit leaders and committee members.
By selling popcorn, our Scouts have an opportunity to learn financial responsibility by earning their own way to help pay for Summer Camp, High Adventure, or any other Scouting program, and units can earn much needed dollars to deliver it’s year-roud quality program.
