North Star District Fall Camporee - September 12-14

The North Star District Fall Camporee was held at Camp Iyataka, Sept 12, 13, and 14. This year Scouts got to work on the Energy and Electricity merit badges, which included a tour of the power plant near Milbank.  The power company also brought a arial truck with a large boom, which the Scouts got to ride.

There were 77 Scouts and Scouters in attendance.

The weather was a mixed bag, with rain both Saturday mornining, and rain starting again just after midnight on Sunday morning, lasting until mid-mroning.  Weather on Saturday afternoon and evening was great.

Saturday evening a sing-along campfire was held at the fire ring behind the lodge, with hot dogs served afterwards.  Following the campfire troops were invited to a game of capture the flat by troop 128, whiles others sat around the campfire and ate peanuts in the shell.
