Upcoming . . . two special 100th Anniversary Events:
The North Star District is currently planning two special events for this special 100th Anniversary of Scouting year.
Troops and Crews: The first is a Canoe Challenge for all North Star District Boy Scout Troops and Venture Crews, and will be held at Camp Iyataka the weekend of August 13-15. This challenge will involve two teams of paddlers from each unit, who will race from Camp Iyataka to Scout Island near Ortonville and back. This event is being planned by the Iyatonka Chapter of the Order of the Arrow, who would like to see this event become an annual event. Check back for more details. In the meantime, be sure to put this event on your troop calendar. Click here for more information.
Packs, Troops, Crews, & Posts: The North Star District is planning a fall 100th Anniversary Bash at Fort Sisseton the weekend of September 24-26 (note date change).
