Scout makes Gettysburg history

Teen created memorial honoring firefighters and EMTs

to earn town's first Eagle Scout award since 1963

GETTYSBURG - For the first time in 45 years, a Gettysburg Boy Scout has achieved scouting's highest honor.

The Eagle Scout award ceremony for James Langer, 18, is scheduled for 2 p.m. April 6 at Grace Bible Church in Gettysburg.
