The Buffalo Ridge District serves Scouts from Kingsbury County, South Dakota to Lyon County, Minnesota. Towns include: Brookings, Madison, Ivanhoe, Marshall, and Slayton.

Your Unit is invited to the Buffalo Ridge District Cub scout Lock In on March 20th with registration starting at 5:30 pm located at the Brookings SDSU Hyper/ROTC Buildings. Cost is $10 per youth and $7 per adult. After march 12th cost is $12 per youth.
Troop 4 Brookings parents put on the Buffalo Ridge Fall Camporee October 9-11, 2009 at Oakwood State Park where the temperatures were around the teens. This was not a desert but setting up tents in a windy snow fall was a new adventure for some Scouts.
