Day Camp
"The CAMP that comes to the boy," day camp is an organized program for Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts under certified leadership at an approved site, usually during daylight or early evening hours. Den members are supervised by parents, den or pack leaders while they are in attendance at day camp. The staff of the day camp has been trained by the council’s National Camping School certified camp director and is responsible for providing a quality program for Scouts as well as their leaders and parents who attend day camp.
By participating in the council sponsored day camp programs, you are providing your Cub Scouts with a year round program and the opportunity to experience new and exciting activities while at camp. You can also help your pack qualify for the National Summertime Pack Award and the National Quality Unit Award by participating in outdoor activities conducted and/or approved by the Sioux Council. Remember that your Scouts want to participate in outdoor activities. You just need to make the programs available to them.
